This work adopts a comedic rhythm and tells the story of a pair of anthropomorphizing betel nut pursuing their right of joy. The lighting and music design is based on the neon lights of Taiwanese betel nut stalls and 1990's Taiwanese rock music, in an attempt to create a short animation with a Taiwanese flavor!

“Szalik” is a short animation which tells a story about leaving your comfort zone and facing your own fears with a little help of an atypical friend.
