Christine TOKATLIAN is a virtuoso pianist praised for her academic distinctions and passionate performance. In 2008 she was awarded the honorary ‘Eleni Myconiou’ prize for artistic excellence by the Athens Academy. A graduate of The Royal College of Music, she has extensively performed around Greece, the U.K., Italy, Germany, Lebanon, Istanbul and Armenia. Her repertoire includes works of classical, romantic and contemporary composers, as well as experimental music. In 2010 she premiered Khatchaturian’s Piano Concerto in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (Megaron). She is an Associate Lecturer II at Deree -The American College of Greece and a piano professor at the Maiandrio Conservatory. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Goldsmiths, UK researching on Post-Soviet Armenian Piano Repertoire, having presented papers in conferences in Athens, London, Istanbul, Berlin, and Latvia (2017). Armenian Piano Images, Christine’s first personal recording with works of contemporary Armenian composers, some of which are world premieres, serves as a window for her audience to see into her dream of magical musical performance. http://christinetokatlian.weebly.com/

Leslie JONES began her music studies in Portland, Oregon U.S.A. She holds a B.M. from Manhattan School of Music, in Cello performance and a M.A., from The City University of New York, Hunter College. She has participated in major music festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival, the Grand Teton Orchestra Festival, and the International Chamber Music Festival of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In Greece she has premiered contemporary chamber works at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaro Mousikis) in association with the Union of Greek Composers under Theodore Antoniou, and has worked with State Orchestra of Athens, the Kamerata – Orchestra of the Friends of Music (UK tour with concerts at the Royal Festival Hall and the Bath Festival), the Orchestra of Colours (tours in Greece and Madrid), and the Deree Chamber Orchestra. Leslie Jones is currently the Head of the Music Department at Deree-The American College of Greece, where she has led curriculum development and has taught performance, music history and music appreciation courses since 1992. In 2014 she was selected to participate in the Scholar-in-Residence program at NYU with the Faculty Resource Network. As a member of the Deree Piano Trio, she has recorded two CDs of classical and romantic works and has recently completed recordings of contemporary Greek string quartets with the Athens Bridge Quartet.
