Kostas Gravos was born in Ioannina, Greece, in 1974.
His artistic work is highly experiential and attempts with mixed expressive media to decipher the process of conception, production and presentation of an art work.
His instruments are photography, video, constructions, typography, like elements in artistic structures and installations.
Derives themes from art history, literature, cinema, random, the everyday.
In 2002 he created his group "e.ma.sto.ma" having active involvement with artistic interventions, happenings, and actions, in Ioannina and elsewhere.

2010: "1000TREES project"
Photography, receiving and recording, the geographical coordinates of one thousand trees on forest of Lake Doirani, which protected by Natura 2000 ecological network.
The evolution of this work, is the artist's book "1000TREES" published in 2011 in four copies, (with one of them belongs to the collection of the Goulandris Museum of Natural History, Athens, Greece.
This project is continued on strand of the presentation as destined for large-scale installation.
Also is prepared a 9-channel video projection / installation specifically for the 8th ANIMART - Experiential Arts School in July 2014, to Monodendri, Ioannina, Greece.

Participative performance with the cooperation of the public, at the ancient theater of Dodoni (co e.ma.sto.ma and the Municipal Theatre of Ioannina).

The project is located in the archives of the Association Georges Perec in the Bibliothèque de l'Arsenal, Paris.
2013: "The Gargantua and Patagkryel in Street Market"
All Day participatory performance in St. Nicholas Street Market Ioannina. 12/hour participatory reading and live recording,(of both books of François Rabelais, (publications Estia, (trans. F. Drakontaeidis) - cooperation e.ma.sto.ma.
