Konstantinos IGNATIADIS
He was born in Ioannina in 1958. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1982 and he departed for Paris where he settled down till 1998.
In 1986 the Foundation “Vassilis & Elisa Goulandris” ensures his scholarship for mastering upon photographing pieces of art work in the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris. In 1987 he was hired by the Georges Pompidou Μ.Ν.Α.Μ. Centre (Musée National d’Art Moderne) as a photographer of its collections and exhibitions.
In 1991 he was appointed as the official photographer of the “Galeries Nationale du Jeu de Paume” Museum in Paris and in 1993 he worked as a freelance photographer at the museum of Louvre.
He worked for the publication of art books: Jean Dubuffet, Donation D. Cordier (M.N.A.M.), Henri Creuzevault, Galerie Yvon Lambert (the collection), Sklavos (National Bank of Greece).
In 1988-1992 period he actively took part in the production of the first Videodisques and CD Roms (peinture-sculpture-objets d’ art) of Louvre and Orsay Museums.
Member of the U.P.C. (Union des Photographes Createurs) in Paris.
In 1996 the French State (with the support of the “Fonds National d’ Art Contemporain” Institute) buys seven of his art works.
In Greece some of his works belong to the Macedonian Museum of Modern Art (2007) and the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki.
Since 1999 he has been working with the 12th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities (Archaeological Museum of Ioannina, Nikopolis, Leukas).
In 2009-2013 he worked as a photography teacher for the Department of Plastic Arts and Art Sciences at the University of Ioannina.
In 1999 he printed his first art book (gravure printing method, 19th century) “Éphéméride I” containing seven heliotypes (500 copies) and a catalogue.
