"It concerns an attempt to use objects as tools for the rendition of my poetry. The idea sprang from the needs of the performances of the International Research Workshop of Performance Arts Alma Kalma, of which I’m a member and my personal need to work with materials.
The objects come to life through the poetry, they are transformed to bodies, they interact with the audience.
The poems presented were written before, during and after the performances of the International Research Workshop of Performance Arts AlmaKalma like: F-F Santa Sangre, Wesen, Wesen Lust.
Some were written on cloth which was later used as costumes for the performers of the Workshop, i.e. Medea – Lust.
In this particular exhibition I use besides cloth, other materials such as wire and plastic aiming at using harder materials later such as iron and steel.
The exhibition is curated by Yiannis Mitrou, artistic director of the IRLPA Alma Kalma and director of the Workcenter – AlmaKalma", Ioanna Skatzeli
