Where 'Paris is Burning' meets Hieronymous Bosch. A dip, a shablam, a death drop is when a dancer strikes a pose and dramatically falls on their back. The higher the fall, the spicier the dip. The story follows Shesa Quinn dipping from the top of a skyscraper. Gagged by her stunt, the townsfolk bellow spiral into chaos. Will Shesa land a perfect dip?

ALMA is an original short film and a tribute to the X-Men franchise. It is a personal project meant to bring a new perspective to the superhero genre. I consciously chose to edit it like a trailer, in order to bring back those feelings we had as kids, when seeing the trailers before the film in the cinema. With ALMA, I intend to trigger the viewers’ emotions with both content and style.

Broken Roots is a projection of the emotional status for a 10-year-old Adham, who feels a void inside him that looks like a single black tree in the middle of a desert. He tries to fill this void by drawing and hanging these expressive drawings with no one to notice them. The only color he knows is black although his room is filled with colorful boxes of presents that can inspire him, but these gifts are not what he is asking for.

The animation practices an abstract way to perform the underwater vision. Using hand-drawn animation to create the watercolour effect emphasises the texture of the ocean elements, like bubbles and crystals vibe. Besides, it shows different marine creatures in the video, such as jellyfishes, sharks, fishes and corals, etc.
